It is with great sadness that the Committee of the MGRC have learnt of the death of one of the most important breeders of Golden Retrievers:  Mrs Joan Tudor (Camrose).  Joan had shown and bred since the 1940’s and had produced a plethora of title holders spanning every decade since.  Her achievements had been phenomenal, and had included the famous Ch Camrose Cabus Christopher, who had won 41 CC’s.  He was not only the top winning Golden Retriever for many years, he was a phenomenal stud dog and produced 15 Uk Champions and a dynasty of title holders abroad.  Joan had a great knowledge and preserved an interest in the breed until her death.  I do not think we will see a breeder of this expertise, experience or knowledge again.  Our thoughts go to her family and her great friend and partner in the dog world Rosemary Wilcock.

After the AGM this year our Honourary Secretary Joyce Ryder has resigned.

The Committee and all the membership of the MGRC would like to thank her so much for all the work and help she has given to the club over many years.

We have appointed Amy Sharp as Acting Secretary. Her contact details are on the Contact page.
